Students Sorting Candy For The USO

Occupational Therapist Michele Meyer, Speech Therapist Kathy Luster, and Paraprofessional John Andrews supervise as a group of Bryan Middle students participate in a candy sorting activity after Halloween to practice employability skills. The students were eager to get the donated Halloween candy ready to send off to the USO for our troops. Lorri Richardson, 8th grade U.S. History teacher, organized this charitable event that called upon Bryan Middle students to donate their left over candy from Halloween. Students opened their candy bags and poured out a whopping 340 pounds of candy to "treat" our members of the armed forces.
