Principals' Messages and Bios

Dr. Suzanne Leake, Principal

I am honored to be part of the Bryan Middle School community. This is my fourth year in this role, and I strongly believe our students are at a great school. Each year, I look forward to meeting our new students and their families. As the principal of Bryan Middle School, I embrace the opportunity to partner with you to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging and memorable middle school experience.

I am proud to say that I am a Francis Howell North graduate. My education coupled with my school experiences inspired me to join the teaching profession. As I enter my 21st year in education, I am fortunate to have had a variety of opportunities to prepare me for this one of a kind platform in my professional career. The bulk of my teaching experience was spent at the middle school level in physical education and health. After eight years of teaching, my career path led me into administration. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Education Administration at Lindenwood University. I served as the associate principal at Hazelwood West High School for seven years, and I served two years as an assistant principal at Fort Zumwalt East High School. In 2012, I earned my Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Maryville University and completed certification with the National Institute for School Leadership in 2014. Currently, I am participating in my second year of the Missouri Leadership Development System which provides me with an opportunity to grow my professional network, enhance my leadership skills and explore new thinking.

On a more personal note, I am the mother of a one year old daughter, and my family is currently building a home in the Francis Howell School District. I am excited to reside in the community knowing my daughter will receive an exceptional education here.

I look forward to building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners. I am committed to ensuring that every Bryan Middle student receives the very best education possible, and that all students and their families realize they are an important part of our success.

Please know that my door is always open. Feel free to stop in, call, or email me to discuss any concerns, suggestions or ideas to help make this year the best year yet!

I feel truly blessed to be the instructional leader of such a special school community. August cannot come soon enough!

Proud to be a Patriot,

Dr. Suzanne Leake
